Insoles for children and youth

Designed to support children and young people through their active growth phases. These insoles help prevent pain and discomfort in the knees, heels, and shins.

How to know if your child has foot issues

Detecting foot misalignments in children is challenging as symptoms manifest differently than with adults.

Often, the children do not know what it is, and they do not very often have pain. They may instead experience tripping over their own feet, their feet turning inward or their knees moving toward each other.

Signs include avoiding walks, lagging behind, or running less than peers.

Does your child consistently walk unevenly in his/her footwear?

If children wear out the inside of the heel more than the outside of the heel on their shoes, it could be due to a fallen arch, causing more pressure on the inside of the foot.

Does your child have heel pain?

Heel pain in children aged 8-14 can often be due to Sever’s syndrome, exacerbated by compressed footwear and sports on hard surfaces like synthetic tracks and handball courts.

Sever’s syndrome is an irritation condition in the still-fusing growth plates of the heel bone. It mainly affects children in their growth yearsgrowing children, whose feet are exposed to hard impacts from running on firm surfaces, and where the shock-absorbing effect of the shoes is not sufficient.

The condition can prevent participation in sports and impact their activity level and quality of life.

How parents can tell if it’s Sever’s syndrome

As a parent and coach, you can look for clear signs, such as if the child has difficulty bearing weight on their heel and compensates by walking more on the forefoot. The child will often describe pain in the heel and Achilles tendon, and that it hurts every time they take a step with that foot.

Pain-free movement

Our customized solutions ensure comfort and support for active and pain-free movement.

Shock absorption

It’s important that the insole is specially designed for the child to provide the best relief and support.

A perfect match

It’s crucial that the insole and footwear are a good match, as both need to support the child in their movement.

“I have previously had problems with insoles that were not very durable and lost their functionality relatively quickly, but I must say that has not been my experience with ZOLES.
I play badminton myself, and I think the insoles work really well, even though I train many times a week.”
